Errore apache server locale: Starting thread to listen on port 80

Quando avevo Easyphp 2 installato questo problema non l'avevo.

Adesso ho questo problema, sia con Easyphp 3 che con Wamp server.

In pratica cerco di navigare un po il mio sito in locale, finchè passando da una pagina all'altra all'improvviso rimane ore fermo in una pagina, senza che riesca a caricare la pagina successiva.

Nell'error log di apache questa è l'ultima riga, quella in cui si ferma:
[Tue May 19 15:44:36 2009] [notice] Child 996: Starting thread to listen on port 80.

Tutto quello che mi resta da fare è fermare il server e riavviarlo di nuovo, quindi riaggiorno la pagina web che non riusciva a caricare e posso continuare così a navigare nel mio sito locale..

Voi che ne pensate?.. Premetto che ho gia fatto la prova a disabilitare del tutto il firewall..

Usi la porta 80 per la navigazione locale?

Beh in effetti in httpd.conf di Apache, fra le altre cose, ho questo:

Pensi che dovrei modificare quelle voci?

Non è sbagliata di default quella porta, anzi, è quella maggiormente usata anche in locale, te l'ho chiesto perchè magari avevi una configurazione particolare o qualche altro programma che usa quella porta (come è successo a me).
Per cercare di individuare la fonte del problema, modifica quella porta ovunque la trovi, mettici ad esempio la 8080 e prova poi (dopo aver riavviato apache naturalmente) a navigare su http://localhost:8080/
Ricorda di mettere sempre la porta per fare queste prove.

Ho modificato in httpd.conf tutti i riferimenti a porta "80" sostituendola con "8080".

Riesco a visualizzare le pagine del sito, così come dicevi tu, facendo non piu "http://localhost", ma "http://localhost:8080/

Come mai non posso ancora usare "http://localhost" ? Nel senso... Ho specificato nel file di configurazione che deve usare la porta 8080 invece della 80...

E' normale che sia così, perchè il protocollo http usa di default la porta 80, se questa viene modificata, bisogna specificarla negli url
