Leggere RSS tramite PHP con MagpieRSS

Help Me...
Ancora una volta avrei bisogno di aiuto mi servirebbe un lettore RSS per il mio sito, ho provato MagpieRSS (http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/) ma non so per quale motivo non funziona su Altervista mentre funziona benissimo in locale

da quello che ho visto la colpa è della cache (dove dovrebbe metterci il file XML scaricato (il file viene chiamato con il nome del sito trattato con l'm5 )) infatti se copio i file della cache che mi ha creato in locale tutto funziona (per i siti che hanno la cache) mentre per gli altri e come se fossero vuoti mentre invece non li crea proprio? come faccio?
Sull file INSTALL si legge questo:

REQUIREMENTS

MapieRSS requires a recent PHP 4+ (developed with 4.2.0)
with xml (expat) support

QUICK START

Magpie can work "out of the box". Usually nothing more then placing 4
MagpieRSS include files (rss_fetch.inc, rss_parser.inc, rss_cache.inc, and
rss_util.inc) in the same directory as your PHP script will be required.

You might want to:

* Add the include files to your include path.
* Create a cache directory that your webserver can write to
(Mapie will try to create one for you, but it often fails)
* Read through the constants at the top of rss_fetch.inc
see if there is anything you want to override (the defaults should
be pretty good)

Se il lettore deve prendere file da un altro server su Altervista non si può.
(hanno impedito il server-to-server)
