Errore404 passando a pagine e articoli dopo migrazione dal altro provider

Salve,
sto provando a travasare un sito da un altro gestore di spazio web.
Dopo avere importato il db e copiato le cartelle, la home risulta visibile con i corretti contenuti, ma non mi permette di passare ad articoli e pagine diverse e viene segnalata "pagina non trovata errore 404". Il link a cui cerca di passare contiene una cartella non esistente nel sito.
Dopo aver rinominato htaccess e modificato appena il contenuto il risultato non cambia.
Ho letto che tra le impostazioni si dovrebbe abilitare mod_rewrite.
Su Altervista è già abilitato? E se non lo fosse, il suo stato potrebbe esser cambiato?
Oppure avete idea di come risolvere il problema?

Il file .htaccess originale era sicuramente più lungo, verifica.

Hai ragione. dopo qualche prova si è perso il resto.
Ho ricopiato questo e adesso i link restituiscono
"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request..."
