Problema importazione Database

Buonasera a tutti, cerco una soluzione al mio problema di importazione del database.
Ho creato un sito in locale utilizzando Joomla e volevo trasferire in remoto il suo contenuto partendo ovviamente dal database... l'esportazione procede tranquillamente ma quando vado a importare attraverso phpmyadmin di altervista mi dice che c'è un errore.
Credo che l'errore possa essere legato al fatto che, per poter procedere al caricamento multiplo delle immagini nella mia galleria, ho modificato il file php.ini nelle voci upload limit e un altra che adesso nn ricordo (seguendo un tutorial).
Questo è l'errore che mi riporta.

Ho seguito alla lettera le istruzioni ma niente da fare...questo è quanto mi è uscito
Database connection error (3): Could not connect to database...

l' errore è uno solo, ripetuto molte volte, direi, ossia la regolazione dell
variabile max_input_vars del php.ini.

Niente, bisogna spulciare il php.ini in cerca di quella variabile e alzare il valore.

Però credo sia impossibile da fare qui. Cerca nei vari pannelli se questa possibilità
è contemplata, ma ho dei dubbi.
