Problemi con vBSEO e .htaccess

Salve,
Ho installato vBulletin 3.7.3 sul mio sito di altervista e ho anche comprato il software vbSEO però con quest'ultimo ho un grosso problema non riesco ad editare a modo il file .htaccess perchè quando accedo al mio sito http://www.amice.altervista.org mi da l'errore "500 Internal Server Error" mi potrete dire cosa c'è di sbagliato all'interno di questo file:

Pare che la riga a produrre l'errore sia questa

Si, in effetti il problema è questa riga:

RewriteRule ^((archive/)?(.*\.php(/.*)?)?)$ vbseo.php [L,QSA]

ma come posso risolverla? cosa devo sostiruire?
perche ho provato a modifica il mio .htaccess levando quella riga e quando accedo all'homepage del mio sito non mi dà più l'errore 500, ma me lo dà soltanto quando clicco su un link all'interno del sito.

per ora l'ho lasciato come prima senza l'evare quella riga sennò chiunque entri penserà che è un sito del cavolo.

Ho solamente eliminato il commento a RewriteBase e RewriteEngine che come spiegato nel pannello di controllo sono quasi sempre essenziali nel corretto funzionamento dell'htaccess.

Funziona con il codice che ti ho postato io?
