Devo installare uno script che mi richiede i register_globals impostati su OFF.
Puntualmente si blocca perchè mi dice che il server non + sicuro in quanto su Altervista sono settati su ON.
Qualcuno sarebbe così gentile da spiegarmi cosa dovrei fare per disattivarli?

In effetti se le register global sono ON c'e' meno sicurezza (ma metterle a off significa buttare un sacco di codice perche' devi rinominare un sacco divariabili se la cosa e' semplice) ma se tu hai uno script chenon usa variabilli globali tanto di cappello ma e' strano che si blocchi perche' non posti il codice che lo vediamo insieme?

In verità il codice è creato per funzionare con le register globals su OFF, proprio per assicurare maggiore sicurezza.
Lo script è abbastanza complesso, non mi è possibile pubblicare il codice.
Semplicemente mi avvisa di disattivare i register_globals oppure aggiungere un file .htaccess (che altervista non accetta). Ecco il testo che mi appare durante l'installazione.
Qualcuno può aiutarmi ?

If you have an not to old PHP version, and you want to have register_globals OFF on rest of your site because you have many old scripts, there is an easy way to fix this. Create an .htaccess file in this dir (name the file ".htaccess" with DOT!), and let it contain the text php_flag register_globals off. Then access this installer, wich will not display this error again.
Bhe come hai scritto tu e' un Warning (ovvero un avvertimento) ma si vede quando vedi il file con il browse, vero? Non mi e' mai capitata una cosa del genere sorry non posso aiutarti (ci vorrebbe qualche guru)
