Acquisire video con lavrec e conexant bt848

Ciao a tutti. Ho urgentissimo bisogno di acquisire del video da sorgente analogica su computer. Ho acquistato su ebay una pinnacle PCTV con chipset bt848 ma ho un problema: se vedo il flusso con programmi come xawtv o tvtime, vedo perfettamente il video, ma quando vado ad acquisirlo con lavrec:

lavrec -f a -i P -g 352x288 -q 80 -a 0 -v 2 --software-encoding test.avi

ricevo questo risultato:

come posso fare? Premetto che non uso Ubuntu ma OpenSuse perchè con Ubuntu non funzionano gli ingressi audio. Anche con Debian e Slackware non funziona.

con mplayer -dumpstream non riesci?

Con mplayer sono riuscito a visualizzare lo stream usando il comando

mplayer tv://0/1

ma non ho capito come faccio a salvarlo... nella MAN page non si parla di questa --dumpstream...

E poi l'audio manco a pagarlo oro ;-)

Non conosco lavrec, ma io avevo usato tempo fa ffmpeg (oggi ci sonosoluzioni più user-frindly con vlc)

l'audio va ovviamente preso dalla scheda audio che deve esser impostata (adesempio con alsamixer) per catturare l'audio da line-in piuttosto che dal microfono (impostazione di default)

Ho semi-risolto usando

mencoder tv://0/1 -o test.avi -ovc lavc

L'audio mi conviene inserirlo dopo o c'è un modo per aquisirlo contemporaenemente con mencoder?
