md5 con javascript?

Attenzione! La generazione di hash da parte di Javascript può essere soggetta ad attacchi. Nella fattispecie il nostro ipotetico hacker pul introdursi tra server web e utente e manipolare il codice in modo "malizioso". D'altra parte è l'unico modo, in assenza di una connessione sicura https, di generare degli hash lato client (la usa anche yahoo nell'autenticazione della posta).
Piuttosto, qualcuno ha un'implementazione di AES o triple DES per PHP (che non necessiti della libreria mcrypt, che non è attiva su altervista)?
